Thanks and acknowledgements

Thanks are due first of all to the team at EMCETT for providing the funding to enable us to undertake this project and particularly to Ian Grayling for his assistance and guidance.

We are grateful to our colleagues at Woking College for their valuable input at the beginning of this project and hope that the results of the study will, in some way, prove helpful to them. A special thank you to Simon Perkins who assisted us with the one to one interviews.

Most of all, we are grateful to all of the students who participated in the project, filled in numerous questionnaires and allowed themselves to be interviewed and videoed.  Without their generous cooperation the project could never have taken place.
